This week, we are memorizing the prayer of Paul for the Christians in Ephesus.
Last night, i heard a lady on TV share her testimony and end the testimony by giving thanks to the God of MOGPA. Immediately, i thought “Do we personally know who God is?” The Israelites only knew God as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. They lacked a personal relationship with God and that is possibly why they kept complaining after they had been delivered from the hands of their oppressors.
In the words of Derek Prince from the book Entering the Presence of God, “Worship is our response to the holiness of God…when there is no revelation of holiness, there can be no worship”. He also describes God’s holiness as “the total being of God”.
This week we are praying the same prayer as Paul did to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ by memorizing Ephesians 1:17
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
